How it works
Basal metabolic rate uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the most accurate everyday formula. Total daily energy multiplies BMR by an activity factor from 1.2 (sedentary) to 1.9 (extra active). One kilogram of fat is about 7,700 kcal.
