Home Physiotherapy at South Park Apartments, Kalkaji
South Park Apartments is an apartment society in Kalkaji.
Who we see at South Park Apartments
Most calls from South Park Apartments fall into three groups: parents recovering from a fall or a joint replacement, people with back or neck pain too sore to sit in a car, and patients home from hospital after a stroke or surgery. All three do well with treatment at home, because the journey is the part they struggle with most. Kalkaji is in central South Delhi, between Outer Ring Road and Nehru Place. We group visits here with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, so book a day ahead and we fix a regular slot for the rest of the plan.
Getting to your home
Tell us the block and flat number; we confirm the time on the call. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.
Making room for exercise
A clear stretch of floor about two metres long, a firm chair without wheels and a bed the patient can sit on are all we need. We bring the rest: bands, small weights, a step where useful and the portable pain-relief units. If the block has a lift, it becomes part of the plan too, because getting in and out of it confidently is the first step to going outside again.
Low back pain that runs down the leg
Back pain that spreads into one leg usually settles with the right mix of pain relief and early movement, but the first week is miserable, and a drive through South Park Apartments traffic makes it worse. We assess at home, use portable TENS or IFT for the pain, and get you moving with exercises like pelvic tilts and the knee-to-chest stretch where they suit you. See lower back pain physiotherapy and disc bulge.
After a knee replacement
The first six weeks after a knee replacement decide how well the new joint bends for years afterwards. Swelling, pain and the effort of getting out of the flat make it tempting to skip sessions, which is how knees end up stiff. Visiting at home in South Park Apartments, we work on bending range, quadriceps activation and walking from the first week, then move on to stairs and longer walks. Our post knee replacement exercises page shows the progression.
Coming home from hospital
For residents discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.
Therapies we bring to South Park Apartments
Interferential therapy (IFT)
Eases deep back and knee pain so exercise is possible.
Ultrasound therapy
For tendon and shoulder problems where deeper tissue needs treating.
Cold therapy
Controls swelling after surgery or a fresh sprain.
Soft tissue mobilisation
Hands-on work for tight calves, hamstrings and back muscles.
Larger equipment such as spinal traction and shortwave diathermy stays at our Indirapuram clinic. Most South Delhi patients never need it; those who do usually start at home and add clinic sessions later.

Frequently asked questions
Do you visit South Park Apartments?
Yes. Visits to Kalkaji are pre-booked a day ahead and grouped with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, then kept at a fixed time for the rest of the plan.
Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?
Only if the society asks for it. Tell us the block and flat number; we confirm the time on the call.
What equipment does the physiotherapist bring?
Portable TENS, IFT and ultrasound units, hot and cold packs, exercise bands and assessment tools. Larger equipment such as traction and shortwave is at our Indirapuram clinic.
How long is each session?
Around 45 to 60 minutes. The first visit runs longer because it includes the full assessment and a written treatment plan.
Can a family member be present during the session?
Yes, and it helps. We show carers how to assist with transfers and exercises so practice continues between visits.
What does a home visit cost?
A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Kalkaji home physiotherapy page.
Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
