How it works
Tests follow the CDC STEADI fall-prevention toolkit and published norms: the 4-stage balance test (tandem stance under 10 seconds indicates risk), Timed Up and Go (12 seconds or more indicates risk), 30-second chair stand (below-average counts by age and sex) and single-leg stance norms by age.

Physiotherapy treatment
Balance and gait rehabilitation is the core of physiotherapy for balance impairment. After an assessment, your physiotherapist sets a plan built around weight shifts, tandem stance and supported balance, progressed as your results improve. Hands-on treatment, pain relief and education are added where they help.

Your result decides which of these appear, and at what dose.
