Home Physiotherapy at Konark Apartments, Kalkaji Extension
Konark Apartments is an apartment society in Kalkaji Extension.
Treatment in your own home at Konark Apartments
Rehabilitation works best where you actually live. At Konark Apartments we practise getting out of your own bed, onto your own chair and toilet, and through your own doorways, rather than on clinic equipment that looks nothing like home. For working families, a fixed time slot also means nobody has to take leave to drive a parent to appointments. Kalkaji Extension is in central South Delhi, between Outer Ring Road and Nehru Place. We group visits here with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, so book a day ahead and we fix a regular slot for the rest of the plan.
Getting to your home
Share the block and flat number, and any gate registration the society uses. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.
Treating inside the flat
Apartment flats are rarely set up for exercise, but they do not need to be. We use a bed, a firm chair, a stretch of corridor and, where there is one, the stairwell. If the block has a lift, we still add stair practice before discharge from our care, so a lift outage does not leave someone stuck indoors.
After a hip fracture
A hip fracture in an older parent is usually followed by surgery and then a hard question: how will they get back on their feet at home? We start in the first week after discharge in Konark Apartments with bed exercises, sitting out and sit-to-stand practice, then walking with a frame and later a stick. Fall prevention work follows, because a second fall is the real risk.
Recovery after a C-section
After a C-section, getting in and out of bed and lifting the baby are the hard parts. Once your doctor clears you, we start gentle postnatal core exercises at home in Konark Apartments; see C-section rehabilitation. A female physiotherapist is available on request.
Coming home from hospital
For residents discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.
Therapies we bring to Konark Apartments
TENS
Portable pain relief, useful in flare-ups and between visits.
Heat therapy
Loosens stiff joints and muscles before exercise.
Kinesio taping
Gives a painful joint support that lasts a few days.
Interferential therapy (IFT)
Eases deep back and knee pain so exercise is possible.
Larger equipment such as spinal traction and shortwave diathermy stays at our Indirapuram clinic. Most South Delhi patients never need it; those who do usually start at home and add clinic sessions later.

Frequently asked questions
Do you visit Konark Apartments?
Yes. Visits to Kalkaji Extension are pre-booked a day ahead and grouped with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, then kept at a fixed time for the rest of the plan.
Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?
Only if the society asks for it. Share the block and flat number, and any gate registration the society uses.
How long is each session?
Around 45 to 60 minutes. The first visit runs longer because it includes the full assessment and a written treatment plan.
Is home physiotherapy as effective as going to a clinic?
For most problems, yes. Assessment, hands-on treatment and exercise all work at home, and portable IFT, TENS and ultrasound cover pain relief. Only a minority of patients need clinic-only equipment.
Can I ask for a female physiotherapist?
Yes, on request. See female physiotherapist at home.
What does a home visit cost?
A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Kalkaji Extension home physiotherapy page.
Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
