Home Physiotherapy at Anupam Apartments, Saket

Anupam Apartments is a group housing society on the Saket side of Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, organised in lots with an RWA.

Who we see at Anupam Apartments

Most calls from Anupam Apartments fall into three groups: parents recovering from a fall or a joint replacement, people with back or neck pain too sore to sit in a car, and patients home from hospital after a stroke or surgery. All three do well with treatment at home, because the journey is the part they struggle with most. Saket is on the Saket and Hauz Khas side of South Delhi, further from our Indirapuram clinic. Visits are pre-booked a day ahead on fixed slots, which also suits daily programmes after surgery or a stroke.

Getting to your home

Tell us which lot, block and flat when you book, so the physiotherapist reaches the right gate. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.

Treating inside the flat

Apartment flats are rarely set up for exercise, but they do not need to be. We use a bed, a firm chair, a stretch of corridor and, where there is one, the stairwell. If the block has a lift, we still add stair practice before discharge from our care, so a lift outage does not leave someone stuck indoors.

Keeping older parents walking

Many households in Anupam Apartments have parents in their seventies and eighties. Weak legs, poor balance and fear of falling feed each other: the less someone walks, the weaker they get. Geriatric physiotherapy at home breaks that cycle with strength and balance training built around their own rooms and stairs. Senior exercises lists safe starting points.

Spinal cord injury: the long middle stretch

Rehabilitation after a spinal cord injury starts in hospital, but much of the later work happens at home: transfers, wheelchair skills, standing practice and keeping joints from stiffening. We continue that work in Anupam Apartments; see spinal cord injury exercises and paralysis physiotherapy.

Coming home from hospital

For residents discharged from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.

Therapies we bring to Anupam Apartments

Kinesio taping

Gives a painful joint support that lasts a few days.

Interferential therapy (IFT)

Eases deep back and knee pain so exercise is possible.

Ultrasound therapy

For tendon and shoulder problems where deeper tissue needs treating.

Cold therapy

Controls swelling after surgery or a fresh sprain.

Larger equipment such as spinal traction and shortwave diathermy stays at our Indirapuram clinic. Most South Delhi patients never need it; those who do usually start at home and add clinic sessions later.

What every home visit includes

  • A full assessment in your home and a written treatment plan with target dates
  • Hands-on therapy, with portable IFT, TENS or ultrasound where it helps
  • Exercises progressed at every session, with a home routine for the days in between
  • Training for family members on transfers, positioning and safety
  • Progress notes you can share with your doctor

Frequently asked questions

Do you visit Anupam Apartments?

Yes, on fixed slots booked a day ahead. Saket is on the Saket and Hauz Khas side, so we plan the route in advance rather than sending someone at short notice.

Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?

Only if the society asks for it. Tell us which lot, block and flat when you book, so the physiotherapist reaches the right gate.

Is home physiotherapy as effective as going to a clinic?

For most problems, yes. Assessment, hands-on treatment and exercise all work at home, and portable IFT, TENS and ultrasound cover pain relief. Only a minority of patients need clinic-only equipment.

Can a family member be present during the session?

Yes, and it helps. We show carers how to assist with transfers and exercises so practice continues between visits.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem. A simple back strain may need 5 to 8 sessions, a knee replacement 4 to 8 weeks, and stroke rehabilitation several months. We give an estimate after the first assessment.

What does a home visit cost?

A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Saket home physiotherapy page.

Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
