Home Physiotherapy at Gaurav Apartments, Saket
Gaurav Apartments is an apartment society in Saket, near Max Super Speciality Hospital.
Treatment in your own home at Gaurav Apartments
Rehabilitation works best where you actually live. At Gaurav Apartments we practise getting out of your own bed, onto your own chair and toilet, and through your own doorways, rather than on clinic equipment that looks nothing like home. For working families, a fixed time slot also means nobody has to take leave to drive a parent to appointments. Saket is on the Saket and Hauz Khas side of South Delhi, further from our Indirapuram clinic. Visits are pre-booked a day ahead on fixed slots, which also suits daily programmes after surgery or a stroke.
Getting to your home
Share the block and flat number at booking, and any gate registration the society needs. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.
Making room for exercise
A clear stretch of floor about two metres long, a firm chair without wheels and a bed the patient can sit on are all we need. We bring the rest: bands, small weights, a step where useful and the portable pain-relief units. If the block has a lift, it becomes part of the plan too, because getting in and out of it confidently is the first step to going outside again.
Knee replacement recovery at home
Most people in Gaurav Apartments who call us after a knee replacement have been sent home with a printed exercise sheet and little else. The sheet is fine; the hard part is knowing how much to push. Too little and the knee stiffens, too much and it swells. A physiotherapist at home measures the bend at every visit and adjusts the plan. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs, and heel slides for one of the first exercises we start.
After a hip fracture
A hip fracture in an older parent is usually followed by surgery and then a hard question: how will they get back on their feet at home? We start in the first week after discharge in Gaurav Apartments with bed exercises, sitting out and sit-to-stand practice, then walking with a frame and later a stick. Fall prevention work follows, because a second fall is the real risk.
Coming home from hospital
For residents discharged from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.
Therapies we bring to Gaurav Apartments
Kinesio taping
Gives a painful joint support that lasts a few days.
Interferential therapy (IFT)
Eases deep back and knee pain so exercise is possible.
Ultrasound therapy
For tendon and shoulder problems where deeper tissue needs treating.
Cold therapy
Controls swelling after surgery or a fresh sprain.
Larger equipment such as spinal traction and shortwave diathermy stays at our Indirapuram clinic. Most South Delhi patients never need it; those who do usually start at home and add clinic sessions later.

Frequently asked questions
Do you visit Gaurav Apartments?
Yes, on fixed slots booked a day ahead. Saket is on the Saket and Hauz Khas side, so we plan the route in advance rather than sending someone at short notice.
Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?
Only if the society asks for it. Share the block and flat number at booking, and any gate registration the society needs.
Is home physiotherapy as effective as going to a clinic?
For most problems, yes. Assessment, hands-on treatment and exercise all work at home, and portable IFT, TENS and ultrasound cover pain relief. Only a minority of patients need clinic-only equipment.
Can a family member be present during the session?
Yes, and it helps. We show carers how to assist with transfers and exercises so practice continues between visits.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem. A simple back strain may need 5 to 8 sessions, a knee replacement 4 to 8 weeks, and stroke rehabilitation several months. We give an estimate after the first assessment.
What does a home visit cost?
A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Saket home physiotherapy page.
Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
