Home Physiotherapy at Kailash Kunj Apartments, East of Kailash

Kailash Kunj Apartments is a group housing society in East of Kailash, close to Kalkaji and Kailash Colony.

Why home physiotherapy makes sense at Kailash Kunj Apartments

For most problems, home physiotherapy is not the lighter option. Good treatment is assessment, hands-on work and progressive exercise, and all three travel. At Kailash Kunj Apartments it also removes the hardest part of the first weeks: getting out of the house, into a car and through South Delhi traffic. East of Kailash is in central South Delhi, between Outer Ring Road and Nehru Place. We group visits here with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, so book a day ahead and we fix a regular slot for the rest of the plan.

Getting to your home

Share the block and flat number, and register the visit at the gate if required. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.

Treating inside the flat

Apartment flats are rarely set up for exercise, but they do not need to be. We use a bed, a firm chair, a stretch of corridor and, where there is one, the stairwell. If the block has a lift, we still add stair practice before discharge from our care, so a lift outage does not leave someone stuck indoors.

After a knee replacement

The first six weeks after a knee replacement decide how well the new joint bends for years afterwards. Swelling, pain and the effort of getting out of the flat make it tempting to skip sessions, which is how knees end up stiff. Visiting at home in Kailash Kunj Apartments, we work on bending range, quadriceps activation and walking from the first week, then move on to stairs and longer walks. Our post knee replacement exercises page shows the progression.

Daily sessions after a stroke

After a stroke, short daily sessions do more than long weekly ones. That is hard to arrange with clinic visits from Kailash Kunj Apartments and straightforward at home. We build the routine around transfer training, balance work and walking practice, and show carers what to repeat between visits. Post-stroke exercises lists what we usually start with.

Coming home from hospital

For residents discharged from National Heart Institute or Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.

Frequently asked questions

Do you visit Kailash Kunj Apartments?

Yes. Visits to East of Kailash are pre-booked a day ahead and grouped with our Sarita Vihar and Okhla route, then kept at a fixed time for the rest of the plan.

Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?

Only if the society asks for it. Share the block and flat number, and register the visit at the gate if required.

What equipment does the physiotherapist bring?

Portable TENS, IFT and ultrasound units, hot and cold packs, exercise bands and assessment tools. Larger equipment such as traction and shortwave is at our Indirapuram clinic.

How long is each session?

Around 45 to 60 minutes. The first visit runs longer because it includes the full assessment and a written treatment plan.

Can a family member be present during the session?

Yes, and it helps. We show carers how to assist with transfers and exercises so practice continues between visits.

A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our East of Kailash home physiotherapy page.
