Home Physiotherapy at Ganga Apartments, Vasant Kunj

Ganga Apartments is an apartment society in Vasant Kunj.

Treatment in your own home at Ganga Apartments

Rehabilitation works best where you actually live. At Ganga Apartments we practise getting out of your own bed, onto your own chair and toilet, and through your own doorways, rather than on clinic equipment that looks nothing like home. For working families, a fixed time slot also means nobody has to take leave to drive a parent to appointments. Vasant Kunj is the furthest part of South Delhi from our Indirapuram clinic. We group visits here on scheduled days, so call a day or two ahead; for daily programmes we agree a fixed slot before the first session.

Getting to your home

Share the pocket, block and flat number when you book. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.

Making room for exercise

A clear stretch of floor about two metres long, a firm chair without wheels and a bed the patient can sit on are all we need. We bring the rest: bands, small weights, a step where useful and the portable pain-relief units. If the block has a lift, it becomes part of the plan too, because getting in and out of it confidently is the first step to going outside again.

After a knee replacement

The first six weeks after a knee replacement decide how well the new joint bends for years afterwards. Swelling, pain and the effort of getting out of the flat make it tempting to skip sessions, which is how knees end up stiff. Visiting at home in Ganga Apartments, we work on bending range, quadriceps activation and walking from the first week, then move on to stairs and longer walks. Our post knee replacement exercises page shows the progression.

Ankle sprains that keep coming back

An ankle sprain treated with rest alone often turns into a weak ankle that keeps rolling. We start gentle movement early, then balance and strength work, at home in Ganga Apartments until you are back at the gym or park. More on sports physiotherapy.

Coming home from hospital

For residents discharged from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj or the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.

Therapies we bring to Ganga Apartments

Soft tissue mobilisation

Hands-on work for tight calves, hamstrings and back muscles.

TENS

Portable pain relief, useful in flare-ups and between visits.

Heat therapy

Loosens stiff joints and muscles before exercise.

Kinesio taping

Gives a painful joint support that lasts a few days.

Larger equipment such as spinal traction and shortwave diathermy stays at our Indirapuram clinic. Most South Delhi patients never need it; those who do usually start at home and add clinic sessions later.

Frequently asked questions

Do you visit Ganga Apartments?

Yes, on scheduled days. Vasant Kunj is our furthest South Delhi route, so book a day or two ahead and we confirm the slot on the call.

Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?

Only if the society asks for it. Share the pocket, block and flat number when you book.

Can I ask for a female physiotherapist?

Yes, on request. See female physiotherapist at home.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem. A simple back strain may need 5 to 8 sessions, a knee replacement 4 to 8 weeks, and stroke rehabilitation several months. We give an estimate after the first assessment.

How long is each session?

Around 45 to 60 minutes. The first visit runs longer because it includes the full assessment and a written treatment plan.

What does a home visit cost?

A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Vasant Kunj home physiotherapy page.

Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
