Home Physiotherapy at Basant Enclave SFS, Vasant Kunj
Basant Enclave SFS is DDA self-financing scheme housing in the Vasant Kunj area.
Who we see at Basant Enclave SFS
Most calls from Basant Enclave SFS fall into three groups: parents recovering from a fall or a joint replacement, people with back or neck pain too sore to sit in a car, and patients home from hospital after a stroke or surgery. All three do well with treatment at home, because the journey is the part they struggle with most. Vasant Kunj is the furthest part of South Delhi from our Indirapuram clinic. We group visits here on scheduled days, so call a day or two ahead; for daily programmes we agree a fixed slot before the first session.
Getting to your home
Share the block and flat number, and book a day or two ahead as this is on our scheduled-day route. If the patient has a carer or attendant, it helps if they are home for the first visit so we can show them the routine.
Stairs, not lifts
Much of the older group housing in this part of South Delhi is low-rise, and not every block has a lift. For a patient after a knee replacement, a hip fracture or a stroke, two or three flights of stairs can decide whether they get to physiotherapy at all. We treat in the flat, and once it is safe the stairwell becomes part of the treatment: we train stair climbing on the actual steps the patient uses every day.
Daily sessions after a stroke
After a stroke, short daily sessions do more than long weekly ones. That is hard to arrange with clinic visits from Basant Enclave SFS and straightforward at home. We build the routine around transfer training, balance work and walking practice, and show carers what to repeat between visits. Post-stroke exercises lists what we usually start with.
Neck and shoulder pain from desk work
Long hours at a laptop show up as neck pain, tight shoulders and headaches. A home session in Basant Enclave SFS lets us look at the desk and chair you actually use, not just your neck. Treatment is hands-on work plus a short routine of chin tucks and scapular retraction you can fit between calls.
Coming home from hospital
For residents discharged from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj or the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, we can usually start in the first week at home. Share the discharge summary when you book. See post-surgical rehabilitation for how the programme runs.

Frequently asked questions
Do you visit Basant Enclave SFS?
Yes, on scheduled days. Vasant Kunj is our furthest South Delhi route, so book a day or two ahead and we confirm the slot on the call.
Do I need to register the physiotherapist at the gate?
Only if the society asks for it. Share the block and flat number, and book a day or two ahead as this is on our scheduled-day route.
How long is each session?
Around 45 to 60 minutes. The first visit runs longer because it includes the full assessment and a written treatment plan.
Is home physiotherapy as effective as going to a clinic?
For most problems, yes. Assessment, hands-on treatment and exercise all work at home, and portable IFT, TENS and ultrasound cover pain relief. Only a minority of patients need clinic-only equipment.
Can I ask for a female physiotherapist?
Yes, on request. See female physiotherapist at home.
What does a home visit cost?
A single home session is ₹800 to ₹1,200 depending on distance, condition and session length, with the first assessment included. Weekly and monthly plans cost less per visit; the details are on our Vasant Kunj home physiotherapy page.
Society details are based on public listings and may change. Physiosolution is an independent clinic based in Indirapuram and is not affiliated with any hospital, society or residents' welfare association named on this page.
