An apartment block may have a lift but narrow corridors. Each changes the plan after surgery or a stroke, which is why we assess the actual route through your home on the first visit: stairs, rails, bathroom access, bed height.

For patients in houses and builder floors, the staircase is often the biggest obstacle. We decide early whether a temporary downstairs bedroom makes sense, where a rail or grab bar would help, and how to practise stairs safely. With so many parks inside the township, outdoor walking practice is easy to fit into the later stages of a programme, without a car journey. It's the step between walking safely indoors and walking to the market alone.
